It fits great! Very reasonably priced for what you are getting.

I ordered a custom gorget from HonourKraft and I strongly recommend staying away from HonourKraft.

The quality is extremely poor and the piece is completely unusable for Buhurt, especially for dueling. The gorget is built at such a steep angle that you cannot move your neck at all, which makes it unsafe in a fight. On top of that, it is asymmetrical and uneven from one side to the other. It looks rushed and poorly constructed.

They also promised specific features, including proper arming points, and did not deliver. It feels like they will say whatever is needed to get your order, and once they have it, they do not follow through. The final product feels rushed and carelessly fabricated.

I gave HonourKraft the opportunity to fix the issue. We communicated back and forth, and they agreed to remake it. After that, HonourKraft stopped responding completely. No updates, no follow through.

This is not just a craftsmanship problem. This is a professionalism and integrity problem.

If you are a Buhurt fighter and your safety matters, stay away from HonourKraft. I would never order from HonourKraft again. Look at the photo so you can see how one side is different than the other and was made carelessly when in fact this is made to protect you from severe injury. Don’t take this company seriously they don’t take themselves seriously.

I have now purchased a 2nd and 3rd of this item...
Still a great product! Thick leather, no rough edges on neck rivets, etc.

This time I chose spring steel, since it won't be worn beneath my brig. I also order the item 2 sizes larger (medium is appropriate, but I selected XL) so that it fits well both over the brig and around my neck with the new gambeson collar. Here is where I have an issue... The received gorgets are the same size as the one I presently have.

So, buyer beware, if you have a thick neck (outside what the seller lists as medium) you might need to modify the item when you get it for it to fit you. You could probably drill 2 new holes and move the straps to allow a gap in the front since neck strikes are prohibited in Buhurt and be perfectly fine.

I received this in good time and good condition (a little surface rust on the buckle, no big deal). To be used as additional neck protection for Buburt.

It fit comfortably over my Gambeson, is smartly designed to allow it to be fastened to the padding, and moves and fits well.

My only complaint is to be expected, the leather is a tad stiff and needs broken in with use. Otherwise very pliable and thick. I received stainless to ensure sweat wasn't a problem with corrosion between the leather and plates. So far, so good.
